Overview

Reporting to the Senior Director, Global and Worklife Operations, the Job Title is Clinical Director, Global Operations, and is a remote, permanent, full-time position residing in the country of Germany.  This is a senior leadership role responsible for the clinical quality, operational performance, and service delivery integrity of ComPsych’s behavioral health and EAP solutions across all global markets, with a primary focus on continental Europe. This role serves as ComPsych’s foremost clinical voice in the international arena — representing the organization at client engagements, industry conferences, and strategic sales opportunities while simultaneously driving the internal systems that ensure measurable, ROI-demonstrable clinical outcomes for global customers.

 

The Clinical Director brings exceptional executive presence and communication skills to high-stakes external engagements, including global sales pursuits, customer success forums, and industry conferences. Internally, this leader owns the clinical quality framework for all global markets and holds direct management accountability for ComPsych’s global intake operations and the clinical staff who deliver frontline services.

 

This role requires flexible hours and significant international travel to support global offices, client engagements, and conference representation.

Responsibilities

Clinical Thought Leadership & External Engagement

 

As ComPsych’s senior clinical representative in global markets, this role is a key driver of brand authority and commercial growth, particularly across continental Europe. The Clinical Director is expected to be a recognized, credible voice in the global behavioral health and EAP space.

 

Sales & Customer Success Engagement

  • Serve as the primary clinical voice in global sales pursuits, contributing to RFP responses, finalist presentations, and prospect engagements with authoritative clinical expertise and market insight.
  • Partner with Customer Success team for customer engagements, quarterly business reviews, and strategic account sessions, demonstrating the clinical value and ROI of ComPsych’s global solutions.
  • Contribute to customer retention strategies by providing high-value clinical content and insights that reinforce ComPsych’s position as a trusted global behavioral health partner.
  • Serve as a key stakeholder in ComPsych’s global growth strategy, bringing clinical perspective to commercial planning and market development efforts.

Conference, Media & Brand Leadership

  • Represent ComPsych as a subject matter expert at international conferences, expert panels, and industry forums, with a focus on continental European markets.
  • Contribute to digital media, webinars, whitepapers, clinical outcome publications, and research initiatives that establish ComPsych’s thought leadership in global mental health and EAP.
  • Support new product development by providing clinical perspective and market intelligence gathered through global customer and partner interactions.
  • Champion new clinical initiatives globally; communicate program updates, emerging clinical trends, and regulatory developments to senior leadership and external audiences.

Clinical Quality & Outcomes Oversight

 

This role owns the clinical quality framework for all global service delivery, ensuring outcomes are measurable, consistent, and demonstrable to customers as evidence of ROI. The Clinical Director sets the standard for clinical excellence across ComPsych’s international markets and holds all delivery channels accountable to that standard.

 

Clinical Quality Standards & Measurement

  • Oversee the global clinical quality framework, including the monitoring of outcome measures, KPIs, and benchmarks applicable across all markets and delivery models.
  • Define clinical quality metrics for both direct-delivery and partner-delivered services; establish consistent methodology for collecting, analyzing, and reporting outcome data.
  • Collaborate with Chief Clinical Officer on the development of clinical outcome reports, ROI summaries, and population health insights for use in customer-facing communications, QBRs, and strategic account reviews.
  • Evaluate clinical performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for service improvement; translate findings into actionable operational changes.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards across all global markets and delivery models.

Global Partner & Vendor Clinical Oversight

  • Provide clinical oversight to all global delivery partners, ensuring contracted service levels and quality standards are consistently upheld.
  • Establish and monitor performance benchmarks for partner networks globally; implement corrective action plans where quality thresholds are not met.
  • Conduct regular clinical performance reviews with partners; identify and resolve quality gaps in a timely and structured manner.
  • Collaborate with US-based GRU leadership to ensure alignment of global clinical practices with enterprise-wide standards and continuous improvement initiatives.

Global Intake Operations & Staff Leadership

 

The Clinical Director directly oversees all global clinical intake offices, holding full accountability for the productivity, performance, and professional development of clinical intake staff across all regions.

 

Operational Leadership

  • Directly manage the Global Guidance Consultants, who provide frontline support via telephone and chat across behavioral health, emotional well-being, family, and wellness concerns.
  • Oversee daily operations across all global intake centers, including staffing levels, scheduling, queue management, call monitoring, and service assignment workflows.
  • Ensure intake teams are adequately trained, clinically prepared, and equipped to deliver a timely, high-quality client experience from first contact through triage and service assignment.
  • Monitor and enforce productivity targets and contractual service level obligations; implement operational adjustments when performance trends require intervention.
  • Apply clinical expertise and critical thinking to resolve escalated service issues; provide crisis stabilization guidance and ensure appropriate resources are identified for high-acuity calls.
  • Track and resolve client-reported service imperfections within contractual parameters; analyze recurring issues and themes and implement systemic remediation.

Staff Performance & Development

  • Lead performance management for all direct reports within global intake operations, including goal-setting, regular performance reviews, and development planning.
  • Foster a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within global intake teams.
  • Support the mentoring and professional development of behavioral health staff across global offices, including the Canada office as needed.
  • Ensure on-call coverage and crisis response readiness; maintain a flexible schedule to support global time zones and urgent clinical needs.
  • Maintain strict adherence to medical confidentiality and applicable data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR in Europe, PDPA in Singapore, PIPEDA in Canada)
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required/Preferred Job Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant behavioral health or clinical field is required, advanced degree at the doctoral level or equivalent preferred, as recognized in the country of employment required
  • Candidates must meet all educational and experiential requirements for eligibility for professional practice and/or licensure or registration with the applicable regulatory authority in their jurisdiction of employment, where such registration or licensure is required by law or regulation required
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in behavioral health clinical operations, including demonstrated leadership at the senior level required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience, with a proven track record overseeing multidisciplinary teams and complex service delivery environments required.
  • Recognized expertise in mental health and well-being, with an established track record as an industry thought leader required.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing clinical quality frameworks, outcome measurement systems, or ROI reporting in behavioral health settings required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health/client information systems required.
  • Professional proficiency in English required; additional languages relevant to regions of operation are highly valued.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information in compliance with applicable data protection and privacy laws across jurisdictions required.
  • Strong clinical judgment with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, high-pressure environments required.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively in large-scale conference settings and executive-level client interactions required.
  • Experience working in or with international markets; familiarity with European behavioral health and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) environments preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and prioritization required.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinker with the ability to translate clinical insights into business outcomes.
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally on a recurring basis required.

Other Requirements:

  • Consistent and reliable high-speed internet and workspace free from distraction, disruption, or noise is required
  • This role requires regular video presence for internal meetings, client engagements, and service delivery, consistent with the remote nature of the position
  • Must be able to sit or stand at a desk for prolonged periods while working on a computer

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this position is 130,000 - 142,500 yearly salary. Compensation will be determined in accordance with applicable local market rates and legal requirements.
