Overview

The job title is Guidance Consultant and is a remote working role residing in the country of Singapore.  This is a permanent, full-time position and is ideal for mental health professionals who value clinical excellence and lead with empathy, and who thrive in a fast-paced environment where access, responsiveness, and client-centered care are essential.

 

Guidance Consultants provide direct client support via telephone and chat, addressing behavioral health, emotional well-being, family concerns, and overall wellness-related issues with professionalism, compassion, and sound clinical judgment.

Consultants leverage their clinical expertise to deliver in-the-moment support, guide clients through available resources, and facilitate timely, appropriate referrals to ensure continuity of care and positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide telephonic and chat support by conducting comprehensive clinical intakes and referring clients to appropriate resources, including therapists, counselors and relevant wellness resources.
  • Conduct client assessments and apply coaching methodologies to develop tailored health and well-being strategies that support positive behavior change
  • Ensure adherence to departmental protocols, industry best practices, and customer-specific requirements to maintain compliance and high-quality service delivery.
  • Deliver services in a culturally competent, inclusive, and respectful manner to individuals from diverse backgrounds with varying needs.
  • Apply sound judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to assess situations, resolve concerns promptly, and facilitate appropriate support to enhance the overall client experience.
  • Educate clients regarding available resources, eligibility criteria, and program services in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation of all client interactions within the organization’s proprietary database system.
  • Stay informed on emerging behavioral health trends, resources, and best practices to continuously enhance service delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuity of care and alignment with client-specific service expectations.
  • Maintain strict adherence to medical confidentiality and applicable data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR in Europe, PDPA in Singapore, PIPEDA in Canada)
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Health, or a related behavioral health field from a recognized institution is required.
  • Where the applicable professional regulatory framework in the country or jurisdiction of employment recognizes a Bachelor's-level qualification as the standard entry-level professional credential for the relevant discipline, such qualification from a recognized institution, combined with relevant post-qualification experience, may be considered equivalent.
  • Candidates must meet all educational and experiential requirements for eligibility for professional practice and/or licensure or registration with the applicable regulatory authority in their jurisdiction of employment, where such registration or licensure is required by law or regulation.
  • Eligibility for professional practice and/or registration in the country of residence as required by national regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client information systems required
  • Professional bilingual proficiency in English and Singapore language (Malay, Mandarin and/or Tamil) required
  • Recognized health or wellness coaching credentials preferred
  • Experience working in multicultural or international environments preferred
  • Ability to provide client-centered support with strong empathy, active listening, and coaching skills
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage high-risk or crisis situations
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong service orientation
  • Ability to think critically and multitask in fast-paced environments
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and cultural sensitivity
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Quick thinking, high energy, positive, and professional, with demonstrated multi-tasking and critical thinking skills managing manage crisis or high-risk situations

Other Requirements

  • Consistent and reliable high-speed internet and workspace free from distraction, disruption, or noise is required
  • Ability to be present on camera during work-related trainings, meetings, and/or events
  • Must be able to sit or stand at a desk for prolonged periods while working on a computer

 

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this positions is $45,000 - $60,000 SGD annually. Compensation will be determined in accordance with applicable local market rates and legal requirements.
